About Me
Who am I and what do I do?
My name is Josh.
I am a Linux Administrator and Site Reliablity Engineer with a passion for experimentation, automation, and standardization.
I also have a fascination with infrastructure in general, and am currently focussed on improving infrastructure and platform engineering in enterprise.
Sometimes I write technical documentation geared towards other IT professionals.
Why does this blog exist?
This blog is 99% self-serving:
- This blog provides me with a way to structure my thoughts in text.
- Which helps me to teach others.
- Which helps me (greatly) to learn.
- Which helps ensure that I am and continue to be employed by companies that share my values.
It also doesn’t hurt that it creates a repository of knowledge for me to reference that is backed up to git.
Why the name?

Also, the domain was shockingly affordable.
